Meeting Minutes

The New Camposol Courier

Back To List

Date: 2 June 2008

Monday 2nd June 2008

Meeting opened promptly at 10.30am.

1) Apologies.
Accepted from Brian Tokely, Mary Cooper, Barry Cooper.
Absent; Irache Merino.
2) Minutes of last meeting.
Minutes of the 33rd meeting were read and agreed as a true record.
Proposed; Richard Slade
Seconded, Rathnait Mullen Carried unanimously.

3) Matters Arising.
Our secretary/treasurer Mary has been in contact with Roy and it is now expected
that, due to her health problems, she will be unable to attend meetings until August.
As decided at the last meeting each committee member was given a copy of the
membership register.

Re trying to get the monthly boot sale running again: It was suggested that Brian
ask Cllr. Galvez at their next meeting to identify the councillor responsible for the
necessary licences, and the committee would try to arrange a meeting with him/her.

Proposed: Richard Slade
Seconded: Ken Richardson Carried unanimously.

Missing Masa-built pool licences. It was decided that such complaints will no
longer be accepted at the desk for forwarding at the meetings with Masa, as all the
information available can be seen on the noticeboard in Masa's site office.

4) The Report.
Roy is to contact Joaquín and ask for an update on what progress has been made.
How to make public the report other than at the A.G.M. and in the Courier was
discussed. Raithnet volunteered to deal with any copying and distribution necessary
at the time.

5) A.G.M.
Possible venues were discussed. Kennelys, which has been the venue previously,
now has short mat bowling during the daytime. The meeting could still be held there
but would have to be later in the day.
Decision deferred to the next meeting.

6) A.O.B.
Rathnait said that there are many people who walk around Camposol, either for
pleasure, with their dogs, or to do their shopping, who would appreciate somewhere
to sit and rest on their way, especially as the weather gets hotter. She suggested we
ask if Masa would be willing to supply a few park benches, or failing that, suitable
locations where they could be sited, and perhaps the CRA could provide one and
maybe other groups or individuals would like do the same.

All agreed that this should be asked at the next meeting with Masa.

That being the end of business, the meeting closed at 11.40am.

*Meeting scheduled for Wed 11th June moved to Monday 16th June at the Business Centre. Reason: inquorate.*
